Haiyang Allen Li is an associate in the Orange County office of Lawrence Beach Allen & Choi. Mr. Li’s areas of practice with the firm include civil rights and public entity defense.
Mr. Li received his Juris Doctorate from USC Gould School of Law in 2012, having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2009. While in law school, Mr. Li interned at the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration and was a research assistant for Professor Clare Pastore on the topic of poverty law. Prior to joining LBAC, Mr. Li clerked for the Police Litigation Unit of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Li has successfully drafted and argued demurrers, motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. Mr. Li has also successfully defended several cases brought by inmates, including those incarcerated under the Sexually Violent Predators Act. Mr. Li is well versed in discovery procedures in state and federal courts, including written discovery as well as depositions.
